Our culture and way of life is rapidly changing in response to the current pandemic Covid-19 both here in Australia and overseas. There are travel bans and social isolation procedures in place, and panic shopping and hoarding. And as of Wednesday 18th March, the Federal government determined that indoor non-essential meetings of more than 100 should not take place indefinitely. On Wednesday night, the leadership gathered together and made the following decisions:
Beginning THIS Sunday, we are having our church gathering ONLINE via the Internet at 10am for our whole church (morning and evening service). We believe this is the responsible and loving choice to protect our more vulnerable brothers and sisters in Christ, and to ‘flatten the curve’ of the progress of this virus. One of the positive side effects is that everyone can be part of our meeting, and for anyone who cannot listen in live at 10am, they can watch it afterwards as the recorded service will remain accessible. Our guest speaker Milard Sleiman is keen to share God’s Word with us!
Access to the live church service will be through a link on our church website. A huge thanks to those who will be working tirelessly to help with technology and to ensure each person has the opportunity to listen in. Please be patient and forgiving with us as it is a new adventure and there are bound to be mistakes - what a chance to love each other in a very real way!
