What is FCC Junior Camp?
Junior Camp is a kids holiday program for children in Years 3 to 7 organised and run by the Fellowship of Congregational Churches (FCC). Campers come away for a week and stay at Camp Fletcher in the Blue Mountains.
On Camp, campers take part in a variety of activities including bush walks, movies, games, singing, Bible studies and craft. This year there will also be a day trip by bus to scenic Leura for a photo rally.
ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS
Campers stay in cabins of around 8 with at least one experienced leader responsible for each cabin. All cabins are heated and carpeted but it is the Blue Mountains so make sure to pack warm bedding (extra blankets are available if needed). Meals are freshly cooked by the camp site's resident cooks and include 3 meals plus morning tea, afternoon tea and supper. Plus there is always a large bowl of fresh fruit available for extra between meal snacks!
TRAVEL TO CAMP
Most campers and leaders travel to and from camp in a large group by train from Central Station to Hazelbrook. Campers may join groups meeting at various stations to travel to Central, then to Hazelbrook as one group. More specific details about travel and luggage will be forwarded to you after registration closer to camp.
